- 1 can pinto beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 cup salsa
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- 2 cups shredded cheddar or Mexican blend cheese
- 6 large flour tortillas
- Optional toppings like sour cream, guacamole, or extra salsa
How to make it
- Brown the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until it is fully cooked through, then drain any excess fat.
- Stir the pinto beans, salsa, and taco seasoning into the beef and let it simmer for about five minutes so the flavors blend together.
- Lay out the tortillas and spoon a generous amount of the beef mixture into the center of each one.
- Sprinkle a handful of shredded cheese over the beef filling.
- Fold the sides of each tortilla in and roll them up tightly to seal the contents inside.
- Place the burritos back into the skillet over medium heat and toast them for a minute or two on each side until they are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Tips
Serve them warm with sour cream, guacamole, or extra salsa on top. Toast them just until the cheese melts inside.
